Set your new years resolution yet? So many goals for 2011 right? Is one to be a better manager to your team? No? Perhaps it should be at the top of your list. Management training is very boring and can often work the exact opposite effect on your team. This is why I am so pleased to share with you my new book just in time for a fresh start in 2011...A fun, effective way to be the best manager you can be every day!
Starting in 2000, I took the time to write down a management tip each day over the last few years. My goal? To observe the managers around me and record the good and bad things I observed. There was one overwhelming thing that most of these managers had in common. They were jerks in some way, shape or form. This lead me to writing my very first book, How To Be A Manager Without Being A Jerk...365 Tips for Being A Great Manager Every Day.
So far this book has been a real hit! I am thrilled and thankful for the response. Based on reader requests I have added a new feature that delivers one new management tip to readers each day via email or Facebook. This book is being used as a training guide in several Fortune 1000 companies as well. A DVD companion to the book will be done in the summer of 2011.
